Well an update from the last posting.

we have received e-mails and congrats from lots of o-bots.
As we are now offically Mr & Mrs Fenir.

Our life of living in sin has been refuted, and the life of a semi respectable married man begins.

It is great to hear from so many of you, we have kept a lot of e-mails from you all, and hope to keep in contact.
Saying that, the business has been going mad lately, and now have 1 full time employee and 1 part time.
And the missus.

Anyway just a small update.

Well I don't get much time any more, Gaming is becoming less and less, and my responsibilities are ever growing.

I wonder more and more these days, as time passes by we age, we learn.
I think to myself of days gone by, and of the many people, and o-bots we have had come into our lives. And the many good times we have had.
It really does seem like yesterday.
Trying to locate lostboy after a beerz attack and kebab chaser. Only to find he had got stuck between the front double doors of the pub, because he was not sure if it he was leaving or had just arrived.
I remember having to tie furry down, while madlep and Redevil teased him with a fresh chicken korma. Or even vorlon, when he would photocopy letters to deliver around westpac head office, just to make things seem busy. It was because of this I thought he would be a great o-bot.
I remember when we had to change the nappies on genesis, and teach cyberbob the ABC.
I remember teaching chaos his times tables.
Alas, they are all grown up.
I remember ( vaugely) our glorious leader, phantom, like his name, he remains, a phantom.
I remember, g1rl and ladybug talking about shoes and shopping, while we where trying to talk to each other about who was coming around the side to steal our flag in Tribes.
Or scorch, when he started off, the quiet type? Not for bloody long. we fixed that :)
Man there are so many. I remember the first person to invite me to the o-bots. And he remains to this day, the only o-bot i can remember his real name in full. Where the hell are you Scouser???
I remember Surak the malk. Or grew up and became Surak the O-bot. I remember the Doctor, and the Nurse, the Fred and Britten, Mak, and the goose man.
The Swifty one, and the Fiend. Don't forget Bam and Chic? whatever happen to them i wonder.
Or naplam, sanguinus, Foggerty, and Tosser to who i have had many enjoyable chats with.
And what about maxstorm, Or The Pitmonster? Or tweak? Or moratlis? I know the bear still lives, and Fred is dead is not. I know Surak to be well, because we chat on e-mail.

Oh how I miss the Curry at the hub. I miss the fun we had, and the drinks and jokes.
Where we could all make fun of each other, and still laugh about it for months.

But time moves on, and waits for no man.

Well what have I been up to....

As Most will know, ladybug and myself Moved to the Land OZ, with Tinman, Lion, Scarecrow, and madlep.
Of course we kicked Mr & Mrs Madlep down to Melboure, and we took NSW as our own.

Well, whats been happening in the last 5 years.
Lets recap our little adventure, and recount some mile stones.

1. 2 years after moving to OZ, I brought my first brand new car. Ford Falcon XR 6, OMG i love that car. I drove it out of the showroom after it was deliveried.

2. 2.5 Years, we brought our house, (which several invited o-bots have yet to see). So we live in western sydney, in the Blacktown local area. A place called Rooty hill.
It's a nice little house, 4 bedrooms, garage, granny flat. But needs work.

3. Trip to India for a month, Come back and almost lose Ladybug to Hepitis E.
I told her not to eat from the beach stalls.
Anyway, after many long nights at the hospital, and many sleeps myself in a chair next to a her bed, ( i got to love that big chair). use to arrive covered in grime and dust of the day, and then fall asleep, wake up about 1am sometimes 5am, drive home, shower go to work. And then repeat.
Took her 6months to get over it. But she still cannot eat anything fatty, and dry reaches at the slightest smell of curry.

4. We find our Neo, lives 10 mins up the road. So we would catch up and have coffee together at North West shopping centre gloria Jeans. Kinda strange really, we took about 5 mins to realise who we were.
And to top it off, I have been having coffee there for about 6 months, while Neo worked in an office 5 mins walk from the shop for several years.
And of course a year later i get to meet the big owners of gloria jeans.
To which Ladybug and myself were invited to the "black and White" ball. (held by Gloria jeans). That means you dress up in a tux, and balldress and everyone wears million dollar sparkly things around there necks. And pay $250.00 per head for the meal and all you an drink. Some guy paid $26,000.00 for a bottle of wine at the auction there.

5. 3.5 Years, and I have a mowing, gardening and landscaping business. Which I have had for almost a year now. And have 1 part time employee. (and the missus every now and again).

6. 4 years have passed now, and Ladybug and myself celebrate our 10th year together.
Hard to believe, and to think 10 years ago we would go to the HUB and have curry and games.

7. And well now it's 4 years and 7 months,
oops?

How I miss my uni days. I wonder if I am not digging a bigger hole?

Dodgy o-bot emails

Hi Guys.

Seems we've had a break in. Some script kiddies managed to crack the admin password in the forums. Once they got there, there is an option to do a mass email to all registered forum members. Anyway, they sent out a message with some crap about some VOIP software that we've got running.

IT WAS NOT A LEGITIMATE EMAIL FROM ANYONE TO DO WITH O-BOT. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE ATTACHMENT.

If you have downloaded it and run it virus scan/spyware scan/adware scan ASAP. Seems that it tries to install something dodgy.

Now, I don't have FTP access to the site anymore, and the version of PHPBB we're running has got more holes than Missy's best sunday dress. If someone can get me login details, or even upload the latest phpbb software and configure it, it would be great.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused. :/

Backdoor.Rbot is a family of Trojan programs for Windows, which offer the user remote access to victim machines. The Trojans are controlled via IRC, and have the following functions:

* scan networks for machines which have unpatched common vulnerabilties (RPC DCOM, UPnP, WebDAV and others); for machines infected by Trojan programs (Backdoor.Optix, Backdoor.NetDevil, Backdoor.SubSeven and others) and by the Trojan components of worms (I-Worm.Mydoom, I-Worm.Bagle); for machines with weak system passwords
* conduct DoS attacks
* launch SOCKS and HTTP servers on infected machines
* send the user of the program detailed information about the victim machine, including passwords to a range of computer games

DON'T INSTALL IT - it is a backdoor trojan

I wondered why setup did not work when I ran it - DOH !!!

Note it might have some mutation capabilities as I did not have the same .exe in the reg keys. Mine was showing as mscnfg.exe

you can run the online scanner from the F-Secure Website and then use thier free removal tool.
